Frequently Asked Questions
For the warm-up you can wear track pants and a hoodie, but once you’re on the pole you’ll need skin contact for grip — so shorts and a crop top or singlet are ideal. Heels are optional in beginner classes. If you want to try heels, we recommend the Pleaser brand with ankle straps for stability. Ask an instructor for sizing help. Bring a water bottle and consider picking up some pole grip — Griptinite is sold at reception.
None at all. Our Beginner Tricks class is designed for people who have never touched a pole. All shapes, sizes, fitness levels and backgrounds are welcome. The strength and fitness comes with the practice — you don’t need it before you start.
Casual classes are drop-in sessions you can attend any time — no commitment required. Course classes are structured 8-week programs with a set curriculum, graded progressions, and optional grading in week eight. Course classes cost $150 per term (additional to your membership) and are available to Core24 members only.
All CorePole memberships include 24/7 access to the pole studio. The Studio Pass options give you open practice time. The Show Girl Pass options include unlimited structured classes per week on top of studio access. See the Pricing page or speak to Tenayha, our Pole Studio Coordinator, before signing up to confirm exactly what is included in your chosen tier.
8-week Course classes are an additional $150 per term on top of your membership. They are available to Core24 members only and are not included in any standard membership tier.
New members can book a casual class through our GymMaster booking system at core24.gymmasteronline.com/portal/casual_form — no membership required. This is the best way to try a class before committing.
We have brass and stainless steel poles in both studios. Stainless steel is great in cooler conditions; brass provides better grip in humid weather. All poles can switch between spin and static modes. Studio 2 is fitted with coloured spotlights to set the mood during class.
Yes — that’s one of the biggest benefits of a CorePole membership. You have 24/7 access to the pole studio to practice at your own pace, outside of all scheduled class times.
You can miss up to 2 classes per 8-week course term. Make-up sessions can be arranged with the instructor subject to availability. More than 2 absences will require a private lesson at an additional cost.
Pop Ups are 2-week taster programs that run between regular course terms. They cover specialty styles and trending content — like Stripper Rock, Lyrical Pole, Handspring Foundations and Musical Theatre — that aren’t always on the regular timetable. They’re open to current students and new visitors alike.
Come in and chat to Tenayha, our Pole Studio Coordinator. She’ll assess where you’re at and recommend the right class. You can also email pole.fitness@corehealth.com.au before booking.
Absolutely. Every class is designed for its target level. You do not need to be fit to start — many students find pole is the first exercise they’ve genuinely stuck with. The strength and fitness develops naturally with consistent practice.
